Pat Jobe is the minister of the Greenville Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Greenville, S.C. In July of 2014 he finished an eight-day juice fast in solidarity with Roland Micklem and Mike Roselle hoping to bring fresh light to the pollution and devastation around mountaintop removal coal mining in West Virginia. He has also worked in the areas of poverty and domestic violence. His congregation is committed to lgbt equality, environmentalism, peace, choice and a host of other progressive issues. He is an unapologetic zealot, author of five books, a poet and a singer songwriter.
I know Pat from his poems, and essays, and from the ecumenical services he routinely performs at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival of Music and Dance. When it comes to Pat Jobe, I’m a fan. Hell, I’m a believer. Better yet? I’m a convert… Thanks, Pat. Lyle
